Free Programs for Teachers and Parents

Design and print your bookmarks using your own clip art and text. I've put together this little program for a quick way to make bookmarks for students. The program prints up to 3 bookmarks per page. You can insert text, text art, and pictures and can even save your layout. I've also included some original bookmark borders and clip art to use in your projects. Print your bookmarks on card stock, or either print on copy stock and glue to heavy stock or construction paper. You can laminate and cut with creative edges.

The program can be used to make items for individual students, seasonal and holiday objects, reading incentive awards, promotional purposes, etc. You can also use black and white clip art and have the students color their own bookmarks.

Download and run the setup file, BMarksetup.exe (2.1 8 MB).

The Bookmark Designer program requires the Visual Basic 6 Runtime files which is not automatically installed on newer computers. If you do not have this file, you may download the installation file from Microsoft's site: VBRun60 This program must be installed to run correctly. You must have administrative rights to install it on your computer. If you receive an error message stating that there is no ActiveX control associated with a rectangle, you may download and run this file: editor.exe. Close the program before running the editor.exe. This file will install and register the ActiveX control on your system. Try running the program again.
