Printable Graphics of the 13 Colonies

This is a printable PDF file which contains a picture of each of the 13 colonies with its name and the founding date. It also includes a small tidbit of information on each colony. I made this file to use for our summer program at school. I wanted to incorporate math in with the upcoming July 4th holiday.

My favorite use of the graphics is Ordering Numbers/Team Cooperation. I print the states on heavy card stock, laminate, and cut out each state. I use a hole puncher to punch holes and loop enough yarn through the holes to hang the state around the students' necks. Without speaking, the children have to work together to arrange the colonies in order from the 1st one founded to the the 13th.
