Sharks and Rays Best on the Web for Teachers

Whale Shark 2 - Although the whale shark can be as big as a school bus, it is not a dangerous fish. The whale shark does not use its small teeth to tear food. Instead, it has a spongy filter at its gills which traps plankton and fish.

Blue Shark - Blue sharks are long, sleek, fast fish. They live all over the world, but prefer cool waters.

Angel Shark - Angel sharks are flat-shaped, bottom dwelling fish. Angel sharks bury themselves in the mud or sand and catch fish as they swim over.

Ray - Rays are close relatives of sharks. Some rays swim by moving their pectoral fins up and down, like birds flapping their wings.

He loves righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea together as an heap: He lays up the depth in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. ~Psalm 33:5-9
