The Costa Hummingbird lives in the desert scrub lands of the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico. It feeds on insects and on the nectar of desert plants. The Costa Hummingbird is a small bird, reaching a length of 3.5 inches. The male has a green back, black tail and wings, and a purple cap and throat patch. As a bird that wanders from her nest, so is a man that wanders from his place. ~Proverbs 27:8
